Sometimes I'd like to ask God why He allows poverty, famine and injustice when He could do something about it. But I'm afraid God might ask me the same question.

We made it to Beijing!

We are sitting in the airport sucking down ice coffee, trying to
stay awake during our 5 hour layover until we board our next flight to
Nanjing :) The flights so far have been long but otherwise
beautifully uneventful. A few weeks back I prayed that we would be
able to buy our plane tickets by my birthday, it was the one thing I
really wanted.. just to know when we would travel. How funny is it
that today is my birthday and I spent it in the air flying to get my
boy! Best present ever! Especially since I am "celebrating" one of
those milestone years that I had thought I would dread, but I could
care less about the number.. I am blissfully happy -combined with a
bundle of nerves thinking of all the what-if's about the next 24
hours. I can't wait to meet Ty, but I am trying to keep my excitement
in check as I know it may be a very tough day for him. Thanks to you
all for following along, we covet your prayers. Next post will be
photos of meeting TY!!!! Much love, Amy

Thank you so much for posting from Beijing. I sure wish I had found those ice coffees when we were there! Have a safe and quick flight to Nanjing. Can you let us know your guide's name when you get there? Or can you even see these comments? :) Our guide was Denise, and she was great.

So glad you're there safe and sound. I've been watching my watch and counting 12 hours ahead trying to figure out what you must be doing right then. Praying you're getting some sleep right now and that you'll all be rested tomorrow. Also praying for Ty as he wakes up for the last time without his mama and baba and that his transition will be smooth and peaceful! CAN.NOT.WAIT!

Here's another family adopting a little boy from our XuZhou. http://www.myadoptionwebsite.com/ourjourneyeast/index.htm
Her guide told them there are at least four other families, so you'll be five, and that will be one crazy happy room later this morning!
Thinking of you and counting *up* with you!
