Sometimes I'd like to ask God why He allows poverty, famine and injustice when He could do something about it. But I'm afraid God might ask me the same question.

Ty's Adoption Video!

Here is the link to watch it full screen on You Tub@
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtLs6aEbL74

I did it! I finished Ty's video..which will speak for itself, but I wanted to talk about the music for a second. Last spring I was having a REALLY hard time when we were thinking about bringing Ty home ( I shudder now to think of how hard the decision was) But the one song from JJ Heller "Your Hands" was at the top of my play list and it really spoke to me, for my life and thinking about a little boy a world away..... so I did a search of JJ Heller to hear some of her other songs,,,and the first one that popped up was "LOVE ME" which brought me to puddles of tears.... Right away I knew that these would be the songs I would use for his video, and they played in my head over the next several months.... I love seeing the video done with the music that inspired our journey! Hope you all like it :) You gotta watch it full screen:)

Amy,
I sit here in tears (again!) because you captured every emotion imaginable when it comes to adoption in this video. The songs were perfect (they play the "Love Me" song on the radio up here and it makes me cry every.single.time.). Ty is a beautiful addition to your already beautiful family and you are so amazingly blessed! Great job on the video (and my favorite shot was the one where Kobi has Ty around the neck -- so typical of an older kid -- on the stairs...what a wonderful shot!

On another note, I'd love to know what program Colin used when he went to China. I know we already emailed about the program, but now we're researching summer programs for our son and want to narrow down the programs to use -- or not to use! I think we're going to apply to Princeton in Beijing and CET --- maybe some more, too.

Love the Love Me song, Amy! That was perfect! The video was just precious! You did a great job...you're inspiring me to get to work on one for Luke! I guess I'm shying away from it because I'm afraid I can't do it justice with the emotions we felt!

Ty is such a blessing and a perfect addition to your family! What a handsome little guy he is too!

Blessings,
Tammy

TEARS>TEARS?TEARS!!!! Crazy tears! Molly watched it with me and kept saying "Molly?" "Molly?" when M and F are at the end. She thinks every Chinese baby is Molly. HA! I love LOVE JJ Heller and those songs are absolutely PERFECT! I laughed when he and Colin were talking to each other. I felt like I was in China again. Great job Momma! He is so handsome and what a blessing he is to you and your family. Let's catch up soon! Love to all, M

I loved it, especially when he comes running up to you at the Civil Affairs office. He is such a sweet boy.

We were in Nanjing with groovy mama and I second the statement that it brings back so many memories.

I put your video on our blog. My whole family has been watching it. I just watched it for about the 5th time and still the tears flow every time. I'm talking projectile tears!! The video is so well done, Amy. But more importantly, Ty just seems like such a special little boy, whose heart just flies off the screen. We're bringing home a little boy who is the same age as Ty, so this video is so meaningful to us!
