Sometimes I'd like to ask God why He allows poverty, famine and injustice when He could do something about it. But I'm afraid God might ask me the same question.

Common bonds of motherhood

I think every mother of a toddler knows this feeling... The sun has yet to come up and you hear your two year old awake in their room. You asess the situation and decide that they sound like they are playing quite happily, so you just lie there, blissfully. 15 glorious extra minutes, and then you hear it... a crash. Traquility ends as you run into their room. You then realize your 2 year old was trying to climb their closet shelves to get to their shoes (a.k.a. their favorite toy box). Thankfully she wasn't hurt, she had a smile ear to ear because she was sitting in a pile of mismatched shoes. Her shelf broke and all her bins fell to the ground.
I am still thinking the 15 minutes of peace was worth it? I obviously need to come up with a new closet system.

So after now meeting her I can so picture the whole thing!! That girl and her shoes!!! Maybe that "toy box" should be left on the ground...hahaha!

TEEHEE!!! Oh, I so relate to this...all bookcases are anchored and if I could bolt the chairs, tables, stools and all other furniture to the ground, I would. NOTHING is sacred when it comes to the climb...I'm still reeling from finding my "happily playing" boy standing on the back of a chair balanced against a window so he could see over the bushes outside...YIKES!!! Perhaps instead of a system, you should just put a lock on the door. I had to do that with the pantry!

Way too cute... Glad that she is OK.

We had an "incident" similar to that, while on the phone. Ours only involved unwrapping groceries from their freezer boxes while I was talking to a stupid survey on the phone...
