Sometimes I'd like to ask God why He allows poverty, famine and injustice when He could do something about it. But I'm afraid God might ask me the same question.

the joy of the Christmas card photo :)

Taking the annual Christmas card photo is such a stressful fun experience, especially with a super spunky two year old in the mix. I may have sounded something like this...
"Finn, Look at the camera"
"Finn, take your hands outta your mouth"
"Seriously Finn,  the sweater too,, put your hands down and look at the camera"
Then Finn replies,  "Whatcha spazzin' out about back there MOM?"
"Finn, one good smile and we can be done"
 "Please baby, pretty please"

"Finn, you see those cookies over there?  They're yours, you just have to give us one smile"
"Well, maybe not that big of a smile...  "

I can totally relate. Check out this post http://theweaversworld.blogspot.com/2010/11/sunday-snapshot-christmas-pictures_28.html
I was not happy with her bad attitude. I wanted to get a great photo card with her beautiful dress that her Grandma bought her for her birthday. I loved that her doll also had a matching dress. Not happening.

I'm giggling. But I promise it is WITH you and not at you. Been there. Done that. But 'my Finn' is a four year old boy who shows no promise of ever growing out of it...

i did get one good shot of Finn...too bad that it was when no one else was looking at the camera :) so her eyes are near closed in the photo...it was the best we could do and we desperately needed to be done :)

Christmas photos always make me wish I was super good at using photoshop so I could take her smile from this outtake, her eyes from this one...

I am laughing hysterically at your psot! I can relate. My spunky 2 1/2 year old gave me a run for my money also!

OK...that is waay funny! Getting those shots are so hard but in a few years, you will love the outtakes more than the perfect ones. :)

Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. Nice to 'meet' you! :)

I can only imagine how hard it is with 6 kids to get a good pic! It's hard for us and we have fewer folks! Oh well...it IS memories in the making though, right?

Bet the end product turned out great too!

Blessings,
Tammy
