Sometimes I'd like to ask God why He allows poverty, famine and injustice when He could do something about it. But I'm afraid God might ask me the same question.

Treasures

While we were in China we were lucky enough to visit Finn's finding spot. While we were there I gathered some of the earth and put it into a plastic baggie. I know it is just dirt but for me it symbolizes the possibility that someone from her birth family stood, however briefly, on the same land that we did. A full circle moment. The only piece we will ever have to her past. I can't begin to describe the weight of standing in that spot. I found this cool little bottle at one of my favorite little stores and love seeing it on this shelf next to a tea set we bought while in Guangzhou.

Very nice. We have a rock that we picked up in China, but we didn't get to the village where Shelby was found.. How very cool to share with her!

I'm a little jealous. We went to Katie's finding spot also (weren't allowed to go to Ella's village and, therefore, finding spot) and I picked up some gravel -- which was later thrown away as we were exiting the bus...

I'm glad you have Finn's...

Precious! I wish I had this as well but her birth city was too far away to travel. BUT I do have some amazing memories in Dongguan and I'll take that over nothing. Thank you for sharing!
